This is my testimony of what God has done in my life:
I rededicated my life to Christ during the summer of 2006. Before rededicating my life to Christ, I basically did things my own way, and life was well, basically, all about me. I knew who Christ was, but he had 2nd priority in my life. He was basically only there for when I needed him. I hardly ever read my Bible, hardly ever prayed, and showed up at church on Sundays and Wednesday’s simply to say “I was there.” I was basically just going through the motions. I had never been baptized and really hadn’t thought too much about becoming baptized.
Well, all this was changed at Spiritual Boot Camp one night. I prayed to Christ to help me start putting Him first in my life once again. Along with rededicating my life to Christ, I also “found my voice” which is a whole other story. After this day, I was never again the same. God moved from the 2nd priority status to front-runner in my life. Instead of leaving my Bible in the car, I actually brought it into the house, and started reading it. I started praying more, and consulting God on big decisions instead of just making them based on what I wanted to do. I also started to get more out of church than just going through the motions. I started listening, and learning things. From that point on, God has taught me so many amazing things I couldn’t even begin to list them all. The most important is this, when you’re in charge and running your life, things go down hill. But, when God takes over, and it’s not about you anymore, big things start to happen. God still continues to teach me new things each and every day. For that, I am so thankful.
“It’s not about you!”
